| We have bears in the neighbourhood! Seriously, we live right up against the foothils of the San Gabriel mountains and the wildlife pays regular visits. One of the local species is the Californian Black Bear.
We see the grown bears but, rarely, you do get to see cubs. Not often do you get to see them but a few months old though... I can assure you momma bear was not very far away, up in the branches 35' up... Location is in the tree next to our driveway on 554 Norumbega Drive here in Monrovia, CA. On May 28th momma decided she and the cubs would have a little tour of the neighbourhood again. After being in next door's pond she brought them up to our back yard. Some of the pics are here.
